Interpretive Planning
The process of interpretive planning underpins most of our projects, whether it's for Museums, Folk Theatre, Living History or Audio-Visuals.
When developing a narrative that tells a real historic story, the process is similar.
We can enable clients to develop their own interpretive approach by facilitating an interpretive planning workshop with your team. Our workshops apply best practice principles within the museums sector, using overarching themes and topics and Generic Learning Outcomes to provide measurable outcomes for evaluation.
Workshop Content
Content and Story
When the key objective is tell stories, whether about a person, a building, a community or a collection, the content is important to get right.
We address all issues that affect the experience of the visitor or the member of the audience. We think about who it is for, how they first find out about (it)*, what do we want them to take away from their experience, how do we want them to feel and what do we hope that they learn?
We think about what we want to say, how we are going to say it and where and what specialist skills might be needed to make it all happen.
*It - the museum, the attraction, the gallery, the audio-visual, the Living History or the performance.
