Audio-visual - East Riding Libraries (with Jay Jay Media)

We were asked to develop the narrative and write the scripts for this promotional video for the East Riding Libraries Service.

The objective of the film was to change the public perception of libraries as a place for just books and promote the fact that libraries provide a range of services and functions with free access to knowledge, support, opportunities, skills and people.

Libraries are an invaluable and indispensable resource and include a range of free services and support initiatives for the community including Children’s literacy development, Health and Well being monitoring, Business Support, Music therapy and Reminiscence Groups.

Ultimately the videos were intended to increase the usage of - and membership of - East Riding Libraries throughout the county, and to promote and support the maintenance and development of the libraries service.

Two films were produced. An external version to meet the objectives described above as well as an internal film to support the client teams potential to attract more internal funding.

The films were produced by Jay Jay Media of Hull with Gordon taking the role of narrator.

Jesse Williams - Strategic Marketing Officer:

“The films are honestly fab! – I had a massive smile on my face when I first watched them and I think we’ve created something that we can all be proud of! We’ve had a massive amount of positive feedback and I think a lot of it is down to you both fully understanding where we were coming from”.

Script sample:

“In fact there’s so much to do here and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Your East Riding library is your community hub. It’s a fun and lively place to be, connecting you with like minded people, boundless opportunities and friendly, expert support”.
