Audio-visual - Beverley Guildhall (for East Riding of Yorkshire Council)

These films provides an overview of the Beverley Guildhall, telling the audience about the historic building and drawing their attention to where it is in Beverley and how it sits with the other attractions in the town.

It is a series of three films in which the audience is told about the Guildhall and where it is to highlight its hidden away location that is not generally easy to find.

They are then invited inside where Gordon introduces them to the stunning courtroom building, the Magistrate's Room and the Mayor's Parlour.

It has a comedy element too in which Gordon plays a number of characters who interact with each other to explain the history of the building and its uses.

The films were all produced by Imagen Photography of Beverley

Fiona Jenkinson - Beverley Guildhall Curator:

“Shift Key Theatre created a delightful suite of short videos for us, to promote the Beverley Guildhall and how to find it. The videos, which were scripted and presented by Gordon and filmed by Imagen, were informative and lighthearted, giving a good indication of what people can see when they visit. We found both Gordon and Imagen very easy to work with and were very pleased with the result.”

“Oops! Sorry M’Lud, your worshipfulness, your honour! (Then in a whisper) This is the old courtroom, it was re-modelled in the mid 18th century and these sumptuous ornamental crests, panels and friezes were designed by renowned Italian Stuccoist Guiseppe Cortese”.
